At long last we have begun our breeding program with the birth of our first litter of Tri-Color puppies born on January 6, 2009. Although all of the puppies are now SOLD, you can expect our next litter in early 2010! Please contact us if you'd like to reserve a future puppy
Our dame, whom we call Les Lilas (lay lee' la) which means "The Lilacs" in French, was purchased in France from the breeder Les Loups de la Tremblaie. She was born February 8, 2005, and she shares a birth date with my oldest daughter, Marya.
The Sire for the first Litter was an American Champion, Peaksdowns Aiden, CH. He is a Blenheim Cavalier who has already sired fifteen champions, and the application is being made for his ROM (Registration of Merit) status.
Les Lilas' second mating was with Ch Balgaires Carter The Star of A24G, owned by Ruth Lerda and Janice Stanton of nearby Seabeck. Carter is a four-year-old champion tri-color male.
Carter
A male tri-color whom we are calling Marcel was born on November 30, 2009. He has a lovely white mark on his neck that looks like a soaring swan, and has just completed the weaning process. Mineral supplements given to Lilas for her coat have resulted in a slight, temporary, saliva-caused darkening of Marcel's white face blaze, but Mother and Son are both doing well, and Marcel will be ready for his new family around Valentine's Day. He's already quite paper trained, and eats like a champion!

If you look closely, you'll see that the blackening of his nose is not yet quite complete. The noses are pink at birth, and gradually turn black as the puppy develops, rather like a fill-in-the-dots drawing.
Marcel at 12 Weeks
Marcel is now ready for his new home. He is a spirited puppy, who has learned to play with his mother, since he has no siblings. Within the confines of his play area he is paper trained, and he has also been trained in "elimination on demand" which means that he will at least urinate on request. I'll be glad to explain that process to you when we meet. He is also responding well to being discouraged from barking in his pen, sleeps through much of the night, and is delightfully social with both the adult dogs and with people. Marcel has been through a physical checkup by Dr. Penn, has been wormed, and is current on all shots. He is $1200, which includes AKC registration papers, a new collar, and any remaining dry puppy dog food. Payment may be made in cash or with a cashier's check.
